Social Security Urges Employers to Be Understanding Towards Employees with Children

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement urging employers to be understanding of the delays or partial work attendance of employees with children during this period.

“Considering the fact that a one-week break has been declared in all educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia due to registered cases of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs urges employers to be understanding towards delays or partial attendance of employees with children. At the same time, we inform that in this case, the issue of recognizing employees' absence as valid is not regulated by labor legislation,” the statement says.
