Armenia to Temporarily Reinstate Visa Regime with Iran
The Armenian government has decided to extend and tighten restrictions on communication along the Armenia-Iran border. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a meeting summarizing the work of the committee coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“Considering the epidemic situation in our region, we have made the decision to extend and tighten the restrictions on communication along the Armenia-Iran border. We will begin the process of temporarily reinstating the visa regime with Iran, and the visa regime will be reinstated within five days. We are in constant communication with our partners in Iran, expressing our solidarity with the friendly people and government of Iran in overcoming this difficult situation. Within our capacities, we will support the friendly people and government of Iran,” said the Prime Minister.
