Inflation Recorded in Artsakh's Consumer Market

As of December 2019, there has been inflation in the consumer market of Artsakh compared to December 2018. This was reported by artsakhpress.am, citing Manush Minasian, the head of the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Artsakh.

According to Minasian, the overall change in consumer prices is influenced by developments in the global market, the price drop of certain food items, seasonality of individual food products, changes in consumption structure, and the balance between demand and supply.

'Compared to 2018, the consumer price index in Artsakh for 2019 was recorded at 100.7%, including food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco) at 102.1%, non-food products at 100.2%, and service rates at 98.7%,' Minasian stated.
