Ministry of Education Rejects Call to Form Commission for Karapetyan's Funeral

Historian Vahe Lorents has written on his Facebook page: “The Ministry of Education and Science has refused to establish a commission to organize the funeral of Samvel Karapetyan, stating that he does not hold any titles, and therefore the formation of a commission in connection with his death does not comply with the procedures. I am ashamed once again... yes, ashamed... and I am not a citizen of the Republic of Armenia. If in a proud country the important thing is not the merit but the titles, then what is there to talk about pride?

How many title-holding parasites have squandered resources for years, lacking any achievements, but still have titles… as many as you want. And those who hold titles are still busy with the alienation and denial of national values. Meanwhile, Samvel, with his small team, accomplished the work of three institutes... Enjoy your titles and awards… history will give its impartial assessment. Your deeds are immortal, your memory glorious, brother, Samvel...
