Armenian Embassy in Italy Urges Citizens to Avoid Quarantine Zone Areas
The Armenian Embassy in Italy has announced that due to a sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Italy, it urges Armenian citizens currently in Italy to avoid visiting the quarantine zones, including the Lombardy communities of Codogno, Castiglione d’Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo, and San Fiorano, as well as the Veneto community of Vo’ Euganeo. The Embassy particularly advises against being in crowded places in northern regions altogether.
"At present, the number of infected individuals in Italy stands at 219, most of whom are located in Lombardy. There have been 5 fatalities. Educational institutions, public facilities have been closed, and cultural and sports events have been indefinitely postponed in the northern provinces," stated the embassy's announcement.
