Pobeda Airline Flight Diverts to Zvartnots Airport Due to Bad Weather
The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the Pobeda Airlines flight PBD 855 from Moscow to Gyumri, which, due to bad weather, diverted to the backup Zvartnots International Airport instead of landing at Gyumri's Shirak Airport.
"Dear citizens, the Pobeda Airlines flight PBD 855 from Moscow to Gyumri, a B737 aircraft, has landed at the backup Zvartnots International Airport due to bad weather conditions instead of Gyumri's Shirak Airport. There were 177 passengers on board, who will be transported to Gyumri by bus as necessary, while the 184 passengers already in Gyumri will be taken to Zvartnots International Airport. The PBD 856 flight from Yerevan to Moscow will occur on February 1 at 04:00 AM," the statement reads.
According to Auroranews.am, the passengers are currently waiting for buses that will transport them to Gyumri.
