The Number of Deaths from the New Type of Coronavirus in China Reaches 26

The number of confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the new type of coronavirus 2019-nCoV in China has reached 876 as of Friday, with the death toll rising to 26, according to reports released by regional hygiene and health committees in the People's Republic of China.

Earlier reports indicated 830 infected individuals and 25 deaths. As of Friday morning, the condition of 177 infected patients is assessed as severe, while 34 people have recovered and been discharged from medical facilities. There are also suspicions regarding the presence of the disease in 1,072 others.
