Meat Vendors Halt Protests Promising to Block Interstate Roads Tomorrow
Meat vendors and farmers have blocked the Ashotsk-Amassia highway. This was announced by one of the protesters against slaughterhouse practices in front of the government building.
"The road to Georgia is closed. You all are with us, we are with you. Let’s go, everyone block the roads," said one of the protesters while speaking on the phone with a demonstrator from Amassia.
The protesters called on meat vendors to block all interstate roads in their regions tomorrow morning at 08:00. After this call, the protesters decided to cease their demonstration, claiming that no one is listening to them.
"Perhaps they are sitting and eating shawarma now but are not coming down to our side. Whoever comes for meat, don't give them any meat," they stated.
