Man Caught Hunting Wild Boar in Forest
On January 18, detectives from the Syunik Regional Department of the Police obtained factual information that a 45-year-old resident of Leranazdor community had hunted a wild boar in the forest located near the community several months ago. Hunting wild boars has been prohibited by law for several years now.
The suspect's identity was confirmed on the same day, and he was located and taken to the Kapan police station. The man, who is a member of a hunting union, provided a confession and presented a double-barreled shotgun of 16 mm caliber, which he used for the illegal hunting.
The circumstances of the event are being clarified through the investigation conducted by the Kapan police department. Expert examinations have been appointed.
