Sotk-Kарvachar Road Closed Due to Snowfall
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 17, at 11:05 AM, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The Sotk-Kарvachar road is closed for trucks and difficult to navigate for other vehicles.
The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for all types of vehicles. The section of the H-31 road between Hartashen and Tashir is closed. The twists of the Yelpin road are difficult to navigate.
In the Syunik region and along the M-4 road (in the Tavush region), there are spots of black ice on the roads. Snow is falling in the regions of Akhuryan, Ashotsk, and Amasia in Shirak province.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
