God will punish you sponsors: Razmik Abrahamyan responds to the 'Armenian Mothers' NGO

Today, a court session was held for Razmik Abrahamyan, the former director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology. He is accused in a case of illegal adoption of children.

After the court session, members of the 'Armenian Mothers' NGO, who claim that their children were also adopted illegally, asked Razmik Abrahamyan where their children are.

“I wish you health. And God will punish you sponsors,” Razmik Abrahamyan replied.

It is important to note that Razmik Abrahamyan faces charges under Article 167, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (Illegal separation of a child from parents or changing a child) and Article 200, Clause 3 (Commercial bribery).

Razmik Abrahamyan is currently free. The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, under the presidency of Judge Davit Balayan, rejected the pre-trial detention request made by the investigative body. The prosecution has filed an appeal against the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction to deny the request for pre-trial detention of R. Abrahamyan.
