Deadline Approaches for Preliminary Customs Declarations: RA State Revenue Committee
The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia reminds citizens who submitted preliminary customs declarations for car imports in 2019 of the approaching expiration date of these declarations.
To ensure the application of the 2019 rates during customs clearance, all customs procedures must be completed within 30 calendar days following the registration of the preliminary customs declaration. This means that the vehicle must be placed in the customs control area specified in the declaration, the customs authorities must be informed accordingly, and any changes to the information presented in the customs declaration must be reported.
If the entire process stipulated by law is not completed within 30 days after submitting the preliminary customs declaration, the rates in effect from 2020 within the EAEU framework will be applied during customs clearance.
