Abkhazia's Prime Minister Assumes Presidential Duties
Abkhazia's Prime Minister Valery Bganba has assumed the presidential duties. This is stated in an official statement released by the government.
According to Article 66 of the Abkhaz Constitution, in the event of the President's powers being terminated, the authority to carry out presidential duties is transferred to the Prime Minister.
Valery Bganba has promised the people that he will do everything possible to ensure the country's internal stability and organize presidential elections within the time frame specified by the Constitution.
It is worth noting that over the past few days, protests and unrest have taken place in the capital of Abkhazia, with demonstrators calling for the resignation of the President.
