Civil Aviation Committee Denies Reports of Opening Flights Between Armenia and Crimea
Reports circulating in the Russian media about the commencement of direct flights between Armenia and Crimea starting March 2020 are not true. According to these reports, the Russian airline 'Ikar' (Pegas Fly) plans to operate flights from Yerevan to Simferopol in Crimea.
The Armenian Civil Aviation Committee has stated that no discussions have taken place with the airline regarding this matter, and no application has been submitted. Therefore, it is unnecessary to talk about air transportation.
It is worth noting that similar information was spread in December 2019, which was also denied by the Armenian Civil Aviation Committee.
