Abkhazia's President Refuses to Resign
Protests have erupted in the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhum, where demonstrators have stormed the residence of the de facto president, Raul Khajimba, demanding his resignation. The protesters have caused disturbances, breaking windows and damaging property.
President Khajimba has stated that he does not intend to resign or call for early elections. This was reported by the Interfax news agency. The president expressed his willingness to hold meetings and discussions with all parties involved.
