Shooting Incident in Dilijan Targets 31-Year-Old Man

On December 11, at 22:15, the Dilijan Medical Center reported to the Dilijan police that a 31-year-old local resident had been admitted with gunshot wounds.

As a result of joint operational-search activities and investigative measures undertaken by the Main Department of Criminal Investigation, the Tavush Regional Department, the Dilijan police, and the territorial investigative body, factual data was obtained that around 21:30 on December 11, a dispute had erupted between two residents of Dilijan, aged 34 and 32, and the hospitalized individual in front of a gas station on Tbilisi Highway in Dilijan. During this confrontation, the 34-year-old man fired three shots with a firearm at the 31-year-old man, intentionally causing serious injury to his health.

Extensive operational-search measures are underway to identify the individuals who committed the crime and to find the weapon used in the offense. An investigation is ongoing.
