Black Ice and Fog: Road Conditions in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 10 at 08:45, the roads in Armenia are mostly passable.

The Sotk-Karvachar highway and the Vardenyats Pass are open to all types of vehicles, although heavy vehicles are required to use snow chains.

Black ice is present in various spots on the Sotk-Karvachar highway, Vardenyats Pass, and the Saravan-Zanger section. Additionally, fog is observed in the city of Armavir.

Regarding the Lars crossing, information received from Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry for North Ossetia indicates that the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
