Monkey to be Transferred to Zoo Today, Says Naira Zohrabyan

Naira Zohrabyan wrote on her Facebook page: "The monkey will be transferred to the zoo today. Since yesterday, there have been alarming reports in the media that a monkey is being kept at the 'Oasis' restaurant in Gyumri, and the appropriate conditions for its maintenance are not being provided.

Just a moment ago, I spoke with the restaurant owners, who told me they have regularly contacted the former management of the zoo to hand over the monkey, but have not received any response; nonetheless, they are trying to provide the necessary conditions for the monkey's care.

I just spoke with the newly appointed director of the zoo, Vladimir Simonyan, presented the situation, and right now, the zoo director is heading to Gyumri with a team of doctors to transfer the monkey to the Yerevan Zoo.

I thank the new director for the prompt response. The monkey will already be at the zoo today!"
