Bonuses Will Be Granted Until the Best Solution for the Compensation System Is Regulated: Atom Janjughazyan
The compensation system must be prioritized because we consider this period as intermediate, until the best solution for regulating the compensation system is in place. This was stated by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Atom Janjughazyan, during a Q&A session with reporters, addressing the issue of bonuses.
"We will continue to grant bonuses because that is stipulated. Moreover, due to changes in the number of personnel at the Ministry of Finance, we have specific savings that create a potential opportunity for providing bonuses," said the minister, adding that time will show how the matter will be received.
He noted that compensation for work in both the public and private sectors should be comparable. "Otherwise, we will constantly have a situation where it is not possible to have a qualified specialist here with this level of compensation, which we fundamentally want to reject. We believe that the position should be compensated, not depending on which institution the position is located in," said the minister.
