Former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison
The former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Sapar Isakov, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday by the Sverdlovsk District Court in Bishkek. This information was reported to TASS by the court's office.
“Isakov has been found guilty of committing a crime and has been stripped of all state awards,” a court employee stated.
Isakov's defense team informed reporters that the court's decision is unlawful and that the criminal case regarding the alleged offense is fabricated. It is noteworthy that the former Prime Minister has been convicted of involvement in corrupt activities.
