Snow Falls in the Cities of Kapan and Kajaran in Syunik Region, while Lars is Open

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 5 at 22:45, there are closed and difficult road conditions throughout Armenia.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to pass, while for trucks it is open with the use of snow chains. The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik region) is closed for trucks, but difficult for other vehicles.

In the regions of Mastara and Aparan in the Aragatsotn Province, and along the Goris-Sisian highway in Syunik Province, there is black ice. Snow is falling in the cities of Kapan and Kajaran in Syunik Province. In Abovyan city of Kotayk Province, on the Vardenyats Pass, in Goris city of Syunik Province, and along the Saravan-Zanger highway, there is fog present.

According to information received from the Department of Road Management of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
