Riots in Paris: Over 60 People Arrested
Protests are taking place in the eastern part of Paris. Demonstrators are throwing flares, smashing shop windows, and setting fires in the area. The protests are linked to government pension reform.
AP reporters have witnessed demonstrators vandalizing a bus stop. Masked activists torched a construction trailer and lit a bonfire near the Gare de l'Est railway station, where the march began.
The Paris police report that as of 3 PM local time, more than 60 people have been arrested.
