Production Activities of Canning Factory Suspended
Recently, a citizen who contacted the hot line of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia reported that they had purchased canned grape leaves under the brand name "Food.am" from one of the stalls of a sales outlet called "Pétak", which were not only spoiled but also had a double label.
Based on this alert, specialists from the Inspectorate conducted state control measures at the canning factory of "Food Am" LLC located in the city of Masis, Ararat region, and found that it was operating with gross violations of sanitary and hygiene norms. The equipment, tools, and containers in direct contact with food products were not maintained in a good and repaired condition, had not undergone proper cleaning and disinfection, there were labeling deficiencies, the shelf life was missing, and there were no accompanying documents proving the quality and safety of materials in direct contact with food.
The production activities of "Food Am" LLC have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for eliminating the violations.
