«Joghovurd». The NSS Revelation Leads to Discovery: One Child Adopted by World-Famous Italian Referee

«Joghovurd» newspaper reports: On November 15, the National Security Service (NSS) announced that it had uncovered numerous cases of children being adopted by foreigners in gross violation of Armenian legislation. Following this announcement, the newspaper has revealed exclusive details: it turns out that a child from Armenia was adopted by the world-famous Italian referee Pierluigi Collina.

According to the NSS, several staff members of a maternity hospital during the years 2016-2018 manipulated more than a dozen women who had given birth. They exaggerated the illnesses of newborns and psychologically pressured mothers with false information to obtain consent for adoption against their will.

In an interview with the newspaper, former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan stated that he received assistance in this revelation from the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan. The Minister, in turn, clarified during the conversation that there are no employees from the Social Affairs Ministry among those arrested. “We must be cautious and not respond in any way to what I would call calls to abandon the child, justifying it by health issues,” emphasized Minister Batoyan.
