Fact: Who is the Russian 'roof' of Armenian officials?
According to the newspaper 'Fact', following the change of power in Armenia, the current authorities began a total process of detaining, arresting, or declaring former officials wanted. This concerns not only the March 1 case but also various other criminal cases.
Currently, several former officials are in the territory of the Russian Federation, avoiding return to Armenia, while in some cases the Russian side simply does not extradite them. This specifically includes former Chief of the National Security Service Mihran Poghosyan, former Minister of Defense Mikael Harutyunyan, former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan, former MP Levon Sargsyan, and several other officials.
Information received by 'Fact' indicates that the 'roof' of these individuals in Russian circles is primarily Armenian businessman Kamo Avagumyan, and it is also his efforts that have led to this situation regarding these officials.
More details are available in today’s issue of the newspaper.
