The judicial review of a criminal case initiated on December 26, 2018, by the Special Investigation Service of Armenia under Article 311, Part 3, Point 3 of the Criminal Code has concluded with a guilty verdict.
The Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that the National Security Service of Armenia received a complaint concerning a police officer from the Arabkir division community police department in Yerevan, identified as A.H., who demanded a bribe of $700 from a citizen to resolve a complaint lodged with the Police.
As a result of extensive operational-investigative activities carried out by NSS employees, A.H. was apprehended immediately after receiving the bribe amounting to $500 from a vehicle on December 26, 2018, around 12:00. He was then transferred to the NSS for questioning and arrested.

Following the completion of the investigation under proper prosecutorial oversight, the case was forwarded to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on April 9, 2019, with a guilty conclusion.
According to the court's ruling, A.H. was found guilty of committing the crimes specified in Article 311, Part 3, Point 3 of the Criminal Code, and was sentenced to four years of imprisonment.
