City Hall Increases Budget for New Year's Events

The Yerevan City Hall is increasing the expenditures planned for New Year's events. This was reported by Factor.am, referencing a draft proposal circulated by the city hall, which suggests convening an extraordinary council meeting on December 6 to add an additional 270,000 drams from the community budget to the celebration budget.

According to the circulated document, the said amount will be used to rent LED screens. Yerevan will welcome the New Year with a considerable budget, amounting to 325 million drams or approximately 678,000 dollars. Of this, 271 million 797 thousand drams will be allocated from the state budget, while 54 million drams will be provided by the Yerevan City Hall.

It has also been reported that four organizations will provide the services, selected without a competitive process through a single-source procurement procedure. One of these organizations is “Factor Production,” which has delivered services worth approximately half a million dollars from the community and state budgets since the revolution.
