VIDEO: 250 Citizens Evacuated Due to Fire at Cadastre Committee Office
Auroranews has received reports of an emergency situation at the Cadastre Committee's 'Arabkir' service office. Citizens who contacted us stated that emergency services and ambulance personnel are present at the site.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that at 11:02 AM, a call was made to the '911' service indicating that a fire had broken out on the first floor of the building located at 35/2 Komitas Avenue in Yerevan.
Four firefighting units were dispatched to the scene with a fire complexity rating of '1-BIS'. It has been determined that the fire originated in the building housing the Real Estate Registration Division of the Cadastre Committee.
The fire was extinguished by the efforts of citizens. In the communication shaft, 1 square meter of trash was burned, as well as 50 cm of electrical cable and one door were damaged.
Rescuers have evacuated 250 citizens from the area, and there are no reported injuries.
