Video: Corruption Crime Discovered in Aragatsotn Province
The officers of the Aparan Division of the Police have obtained substantial operational and investigative data revealing that the head of Vardenut village in Aragatsotn Province and the village council's accountant have registered a man as a guard at the village council from 2009 to 2017, allegedly paying only part of his salary.
Additionally, a woman who worked as a cleaner at the village council from 2012 to 2015 and a man who was hired as a tractor driver were paid 10,000 drams monthly, despite the fact that the cleaner was not officially registered. The tractor driver's salary was approximately 33,000 drams per month.
As a result of these abuses, preliminary investigations have revealed that the state has incurred approximately 1 million drams in financial damage. The suspects have been summoned to the division and have provided confessional explanations. A criminal case has been initiated for the identified crimes. Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances surrounding the case. The preliminary investigation continues.
