EU Official Presents Three Reasons for Investing in Armenia

Lawrence Meredith, Director for Eastern Neighborhood in the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, presented three reasons for investing in Armenia. He addressed this question during a press conference commemorating the second anniversary of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on November 26.

“First, we see a quite ambitious vision from the Prime Minister of Armenia and the government regarding reforms, which include judicial reforms, overcoming corruption, and public administration reforms. Second, Armenia is a country known for its innovations. Innovations are at the heart of Armenians. And the third reason is that we need to invest in youth, because the future of Armenia lies in its people, in smart and bright young people,” said Meredith.
