Brother of Deceased Soldier Visited Him Recently: Details

Today, in the territory of the Dilijan training center, a conscript soldier named Vahan Mushegian reportedly committed suicide, having one brother and one sister. This was stated by Murad Simonyan, the mayor of Tatev community in Syunik province, in an interview with "Armenian Time".

We reported that the incident occurred in the morning around 9:00 AM, when Private Vahan Roberti Mushegian was found hanging from a tree. Mushegian was from the village of Tandat'ap, located in the consolidated Tatev community of Syunik province.

In our conversation, Simonyan informed us that the soldier's older brother had visited him recently. He did not hear any complaints from his brother or about the command. "The command was pleased, he was a smart boy," Simonyan said.

The mayor noted that the father of the deceased soldier is the administration head of Tandat'ap. "The boy had also been accepted to Yerevan State University and went to serve," he added. Murad Simonyan is still unsure what could have driven the soldier to suicide.
