Police Prevent Group Theft Incident; Young Individuals Detained
On November 24, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 5:00 AM, officers from the Arabkir Division of the Police and the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Company of the Yerevan City Police detained three individuals on suspicion of theft near a building on Baghramyan Avenue.
According to reporter Gagik Shamshyan, the detained individuals are Arshaluis H., an 18-year-old resident of Yerevan, Erik M., a 17-year-old resident of the Armavir region, and Tigran K., a 23-year-old resident of the Ararat region. Shamshyan's sources indicate that the police also discovered the Opel vehicle driven by 60-year-old Vachagan S., which the suspects were using.
Inside the vehicle, the suspects' belongings were found, which included two iron rods and one mask. According to the reporter's information, the trio confessed to the police that they had intended to commit theft at shops in the Arabkir administrative district, but their plan was thwarted when they were apprehended by law enforcement officers.
Materials are being prepared in the investigative division of the Arabkir Police regarding this incident. The suspects have been released.
