Several Graves Desecrated in Jruvez Village
On November 24, another act of desecration and vandalism occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 11:30 AM, 80-year-old Volodya Aleksanyan once again visited his wife's grave located in Jruvez village and discovered that it had been desecrated by unknown individuals.
According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, police have established that the vandals not only desecrated the grave of the 80-year-old man’s wife but also several adjacent graves. The gravestones were filled with some substance and dirtied.
Shamshyan also reports that other affected grave owners have not yet been informed about the vandalism, and G. Bournazyan, the deputy chief of the Garni police station, is already working with community police officers to identify these citizens.
