Video: Six Injured and 37 Arrested During Protests in Georgia
In Tbilisi, near the parliament building, police arrested 37 individuals during a protest action yesterday, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the ministry, six people were injured on Rustaveli Avenue, including two police officers. The arrests are reported to be linked to administrative violations (failure to comply with police legal demands and committing hooligan acts).
It has been previously reported that police used water cannons against protesters who blocked the entrances to the Georgian parliament building.
On November 14, a new wave of protests erupted in Tbilisi. The protests were triggered by the failure of a constitutional bill on proportional representation in the parliament of Georgia.
