Accident in Gegharkunik Region: Passenger Dies at Scene

On November 19, at 01:27, the emergency service received a report of a traffic accident near the hospital in Vardenis, Gegharkunik region, with injuries reported.

A team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that two vehicles, a 'Mitsubishi Montero' and an 'Opel Astra G' (driven by Armen S., born in 1994), collided on the 3rd km of the Vardenis-Akunq highway.

As a result of the accident, the passenger of the 'Mitsubishi Montero', Ara M. (born in 1983), died at the scene. Rescuers have disconnected the vehicle's power supply.
