Police Use Tear Gas to Disperse Protests in Paris
Protests by the "Yellow Vests" have resumed in several cities across France. This week, demonstrators have taken to the streets with various placards to express their dissatisfaction with the government's economic policies.
Police used tear gas in Paris to disperse the protests, resulting in 16 arrests. Notably, tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of the "Yellow Vests" protests. In connection with this occasion, over 200 protests are scheduled across France today and tomorrow.
Due to security concerns, police have closed 23 metro stations in Paris today. The "Yellow Vests" protests began on November 17 of last year, initially sparked by rising fuel prices, but they have since evolved into a broader movement.
