16th-18th Century Monument in Dalma Gardens Being Demolished, Warn Gardeners
Gardeners in Dalma have reported that one of the historical structures, a 16th-18th century threshing barn, is being demolished. During a live Facebook broadcast, MP Hamazasp Danielyan stated, "Some official has decided that these threshing barns cannot be considered historical monuments." He also emphasized the need to understand how justified the claims about the construction permit program are, including the area involved and the purposes of the construction.
Angela Kzhdryan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, wrote on her Facebook page, "In response to reports in the media that a historical structure has been demolished in the Dalma Gardens area, we inform you that according to preliminary information, the monument registered in that area is not on our list. Tomorrow, specialists will investigate the raised issue on site. We will provide additional information."
