Airport Employees Steal 2 Million Dram Worth of Jewelry from Luggage

On November 15, around 20:00, a citizen of the Russian Federation reported to the police at the "Zvartnots" airport in Yerevan that on the same day, at 12:30, he had arrived on a Moscow-Yerevan flight, collected his luggage, and noticed upon exiting the arrivals hall that his gold jewelry had been stolen from his luggage, causing approximately 1 million 900 thousand dram in damages.

Criminal investigators from the department, acting on obtained operational information, along with aviation security personnel from "Zvartnots" airport, apprehended three airport employees suspected of theft at around 23:30. One of the suspects is from the village of Aygedzor, while the other two are residents of Yerevan.

The stolen items have been discovered and confiscated. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The suspects have been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
