10 Million Tree Planting Areas and Tree Species Designated: Grigoryan

Despite the absence of any mention in the budget regarding the financing of the 10 million tree planting program for the next year, the ongoing forest restoration program will be part of this initiative. Environment Minister Erik Grigoryan made this announcement today in the National Assembly.

According to him, this program will be pan-Armenian, but negotiations are underway with other countries for joint funding. One of the friendly countries, as stated by the minister, has promised to provide Armenia with 1 million seedlings free of charge.

The minister also reported that areas have been identified for tree planting, and the specific types of trees to be planted have been determined.
