Fire Breaks Out in Dilijan National Park: Extinguished After 5 Hours

On November 12, at 23:17, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call reporting a fire in the forest area leading from the Andranik neighborhood of Dilijan city to the television tower in Tavush Province. Emergency response teams, including an operational group from the regional rescue department, one combat unit, and seven firefighters on duty, were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the fire occurred in the 6th and 7th sections of the Dilijan National Park. The fire was contained by 01:26 and fully extinguished by 04:10. Around 6 hectares of dry leaves, wood debris, bushes, 30 tree stumps, and 10 trees were partially burned. Firefighting efforts involved 10 staff members from the Dilijan National Park and one officer from the Dilijan police department.
