Customs Employees Dismissed by Their Own Request: Clarification from the State Revenue Committee
The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has released a clarification regarding media reports that two SRC employees were wiretapped and subsequently dismissed.
The clarification states that, according to the newspaper 'Zhamanak,' the dismissed individuals were the head and deputy head of the Ararat customs office, whereas in reality, they served in different divisions.
Zohrab Avetisyan, who was dismissed at his own request, held the position of deputy head of the Western customs office, while Gegham Sarmazyan served as deputy head of the Ararat customs office. Gegham Sarmazyan is a long-time member of the system, starting his career as an inspector and holding various responsible positions for many years.
At the same time, we note that the newspaper's information about wiretapping the mentioned individuals' phone conversations and the cancellation of the dismissal orders does not correspond to reality. The orders for their dismissal at their own request have already been signed by the head of the SRC.
