Mother Beats 15-Year-Old Daughter and Threatens with Knife to Force Her into Prostitution

On November 10, in one of the regions of Armenia, the police received operational information that the mother of a 15-year-old girl identified as H. A. was physically abusing her and threatening her with a knife to compel her into prostitution. The girl managed to flee her home.

According to Shamshyan.com, officers from the juvenile division of the local police determined that around 1:00 AM, the mother, 42-year-old M. A., had an argument with her husband, 59-year-old H. Q., at a barn in the region, which led to her striking the girl's face and causing physical pain.

The police discovered the girl, who is now in a safe environment, and are taking necessary measures to locate her parents. Investigative materials are being prepared at the investigative division of the local police in relation to the incident.

According to sources, the girl is currently in the 10th grade at one of the educational institutions operating in the republic.
