«Ժողովուրդ». Queue Spots Sold for 20,000 Drams Near Gyumri Customs Terminal
«Ժողովուրդ» newspaper reports: For a considerable time now, the newspaper has been receiving complaints from car importers regarding the queues formed near the Gyumri customs terminal. It turns out that drivers are forced to spend one or two days in Gyumri to clear their vehicles, sleeping in their cars, at relatives' homes, or in hotels. Some importers, describing the situation in conversation with the newspaper, mentioned that local residents go to the customs terminal, take positions in the queue with their cars, and sell their spots to those interested.
“There are savvy residents of Gyumri who hold places in line and sell queue spots near the customs for 20,000 drams, and in the middle of the line, for 10,000 drams,” they noted. It is noteworthy that car importers informed us that the local authorities have started to engage in identifying them,” the newspaper writes.
Details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
