Earthquake Near Ardabil City in Iran Felt in Syunik Province
On November 8, at 17:51 local time (13:51 GMT), a 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the seismic network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at geographic coordinates 37.960 latitude and 48.460 longitude (36 km southeast of Ardabil city, Iran) at a depth of 10 km. The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 7 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake was felt in the cities of Kapan, Agarak, and Kajaran in the Syunik province of Armenia with an intensity of 3.
