Contractual Soldier Involved in Fatal Accident with 45-Year-Old Woman (Photos)

Today, on October 23, a fatal accident occurred in Vayots Dzor Province. At around 19:00, a 40-year-old man, A. M., from Vayots Dzor region, hit 45-year-old Z. M., a resident of the same province, while driving a VAZ 21013 vehicle with license plate 35 XL 137 on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at the 122.7 km mark.

According to photographer Gagik Shamsyan, the driver did not flee the scene and transported the injured Z. M. to the “Yeghenadzor” medical center, where hours later, she succumbed to her injuries without regaining consciousness.

According to G. Shamsyan's report, the criminal case will be transferred to the Vayots Dzor regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, and driver A. M. serves as a contractual soldier at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia’s military unit N.
