64-Year-Old Woman's Murder Solved: Details

In the early hours of October 22, at 01:05 AM, the operational management center of the Yerevan police received a report about a murder in the 5th apartment of building 2 on 2nd Vardashen street. This was reported by the police press service.

Police units from various departments and employees of the investigative committee arrived at the scene, where they discovered the body of the 1955-born hostess in the mentioned apartment. An examination of the body revealed multiple cut and stab wounds in different parts, including the neck.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. Expert examinations have been ordered. In an effort to identify the person responsible for this particularly serious crime and to find the weapon used, the police and investigative committee undertook extensive operational and investigative measures.

Through effective and collaborative work, they identified the suspect believed to have committed the murder. Following explanatory work with a 46-year-old resident of Yerevan, the suspect voluntarily presented himself to the Erebuni police department on October 23. The circumstances are being clarified. The investigation is ongoing.
