Gas Leak Occurs from Pipeline
On October 21, at 18:30, the emergency services received a call reporting that a building wall had collapsed near Building 7 on Leo Street in Yerevan, causing damage to a gas pipeline and resulting in a leak. Rescue assistance was needed.
A firefighting team from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a retaining wall (10 sq. m.) near the building had collapsed, damaging the gas pipeline.
The rescuers secured the area and maintained a watch until the gas emergency service personnel were able to stop the leak.
