Complaint Filed Against Narek Malyan at Police Department Over Comments on Transgenders
Materials are being prepared against Narek Malyan at the police department based on a submitted complaint. Zarzand Gabrielyan, head of the media relations and analysis department of the Armenian police, informed Tert.am about this.
“On October 18, a complaint was received from a human rights NGO to the police's central department, stating that a user named Narek Malyan made a post on his Facebook wall on October 14 regarding 14 transgenders arriving from Cuba who are HIV carriers,” Gabrielyan noted.
It should be mentioned that on October 14, Narek Malyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Attention. Since we do not have a state, I would like to inform the citizens of the Republic of Armenia that 14 transgenders arriving from Cuba are HIV carriers. This information is obtained from official sources; you can spread it. In total, there are 16, of which 14 are HIV carriers. Moreover, one of them worked at a bakery.”
