Shooting in Ohanyan Village Injures Woman and Dog

On October 17, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. Around 5:00 PM, the Ashtarak Medical Center notified the police department of Ashtarak that a citizen with injuries including 'a small laceration to the left temporal region, a metallic fragment in the wound cavity, and a scratch to the left shoulder joint' had been transported to their facility. The injured individual reported that the wounds were sustained in her backyard.

According to shamshyan.com, the victim, a 32-year-old resident of the village, Susanna Kh., was taken to the hospital from her home in Ohanyan village. Police later established that on the same day, around 4:30 PM, an unidentified person had fired shots from a hunting rifle towards a dog near her home on a dead-end street of Ohanyan village. The fragments accidentally hit Susanna Kh., who was in her yard at the time.

Police recovered the deceased dog at the scene. The operation at the site was led by the Deputy Chief of the Ashtarak Police Department, Hakobyan. The investigative department is preparing materials regarding the incident.
