‘Zone Viewer’ Files Lawsuit Against Armavir Prison
‘Zhoghovourd’ newspaper reports: A convict, Spartak Danielyan, who is serving time in Armavir Prison and has been convicted of numerous frauds, as well as attempted escape from court, has filed a lawsuit against the Armavir penitentiary, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia. He demands that the court recognize the administrative act issued by the prison administration on March 14, 2017, as unlawful.
It is noteworthy that in May of this year, the National Security Service distributed a statement indicating that it has uncovered several dozen cases of a detainee fraudulently stealing the property of others (mobile phones, tablets, and other valuable items). It turns out that this convict organized a criminal group whose members contacted individuals who had posted announcements about selling mobile phones and other items on the website List.am, and after gaining their trust, offered them a high price for their products. Following agreements and meetings, they fraudulently stole the property.
Additionally, the convict's father, A. Danielyan, is a high-ranking official in Armenia, having worked in the Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources.
